I got a call from Grandpa Freck Hilton last night that Cassie & Chad's Charis was in a bad car accident at about 11 am yesterday. The two boys had on seat belts, but she didn't and was thrown out. She was able to tell them to call her mom and dad. Her extremities move fine, but her whole chest and abdomen are really bad inside. She has a rip in her aorta. If the clots loosen they won't be able to do anything to save her--most people with a ripped aorta never make it to the hospital. After x-rays and CT scans they found she has broken ribs, a broken hip, both lungs are punctured, her bowels have trauma, her liver is damaged. They took her straight into surgery for 2 1/2 hours. She is still opened up. They took out some bowels and will take out more today. The aorta can't be fixed for about a month because she can't survive the heart/lung machine now. She keeps bleeding inside. She's just massively hurt inside. Please call temples to put her name on the prayer roll (Charis Wagenman) and pray for her.
Chad, Cassie and the kids need your prayers, too.
If anything is different from the above, I'll let you know.
